Nantucket Upweller

Our newest upweller, launched in 2020. The upweller is built and supported in partnership with Madaket Marine. This upweller is about half the size of our others. We’re growing 20,000 oysters this summer, which will be given to the town of Barnstable.

We’re hopeful that in future years, oysters from this upweller will be able to be planted at Nantucket's restoration site, Shimmo Reef.
