Our friends at Madaket Marine

Our newest upweller is already in its second year (they grow up so fast). The upweller was built and supported in partnership with Madaket Marine. This upweller was about half the size as the rest in 2020, and in 2021 the team there doubled it.

The team at Madaket are working with the town of Nantucket on a restoration site right offshore. In particular, they thinking that oysters are one of the tools that will fight algae blooms in the harbor.

We’re exciting to partner with Madaket Marine to put more oysters in the water.
