Join us for a summer evening of Oysters on the Pier, the premier culinary experience and party of 2018 for the Mass Oyster Project.
Each ticket includes a bonafide feast: a dozen local oysters shucked to order on the half shell and 3 drinks from the beer and wine bar - including the Heal The Harbors Pilsner from Blue Point Brewing Company. To add on, our local culinary partner VASA is providing a variety of gourmet appetizers we'll have for sale right alongside the oyster bar. Oysters donated by local farm partners including Island Creek, Patriot Oysters, and Chatham Shellfish Company!
You'll enjoy it all on the very pier where Mass Oyster's upweller project, which powers our restoration work, got started, and continues today. Mass Oyster works in coastal communities throughout Massachusetts to restore native shellfish to our coastline, which complements the work of our local oyster farmers and enhances the water quality and ecosystems of every site we work in. So as you're enjoying premier oysters from local farmers, see for yourself how our restoration work gets started.
What if it rains?
The event will take place rain or shine, as we have a large tent and indoor space in case of rainy weather.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Those arriving on Cape Ann via Route 128 can exit at the Grant Circle Rotary, or at the end of Route 128 (Eastern Avenue Traffic Lights), and head to Harbor Loop and Maritime Gloucester.
Parking is limited at Maritime Gloucester, but street parking is plentiful in the area. Please bring quarters and plan ahead!
What can I bring into the event?
We're not sticklers, but please leave outside food and drinks outside. We've got everything covered.
